SEATTLE, August 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines customer service agents, stores, cargo, ground service and reservations agents, who are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM ), ratified a two-year contract extension. The contract was overwhelmingly passed and includes a pay rise with market reviews to ensure wage rates remain competitive, as well as increases to longevity bonuses. Job security was also extended until September 272028.

The previous contract was amended on September 27, 2024. Contracts in the airline industry do not expire. Once they become modifiable, the current contract remains in force until a new agreement is ratified.
