Theft/possession on/on bail CK22022721 Wallaceburg

At 12:20 p.m. on May 22, 2022, a male was located on Murray Street in Wallaceburg. The man was in possession of two kayaks. After investigation, it was discovered that the property had been stolen and the man was on a court condition to be at his home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. As a result, a Wallaceburg man was arrested for theft and possession and bail violation. Transported to CKPS HQ, processed and held on bond.

Break and Enter CK22022587 Blenheim

Sometime before or around May 11, 2022, unknown persons entered the Store and Save business in Blenheim, entered a secure storage unit and removed approximately $3,000.00 worth of goods. Items taken include a table saw and a drill press.

Fatal collision with motor vehicle CK22022567

On Saturday, May 21, 2022 at approximately 8 a.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on the Paincourt Line near Bear Line Road.

Preliminary investigation reveals an 18-year-old Dover Township woman was traveling eastbound on the Paincourt line when she struck a tree on the north side of the roadway.

The woman was transported from the scene to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries. She was later transported to Windsor Regional Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Out of respect for the family, the woman’s name is withheld at this time.
