Flight – Laurel
On March 13, 2022, at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers responded to Horizon Square Apartments located at 3563 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel for a robbery. The adult male victim rode the elevator to the first floor and was approached by an unknown male suspect who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his wallet and keys. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Western District Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the hotline at 410-222-4700.
Suspect: Black male, 6’00”, large build, wearing dark clothing
Shooting – Glen Burnie
On March 13, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of 9th Avenue SE for a shooting that just occurred. The 14-year-old victim was in a shed on the property with a known subject and an unknown subject. According to the victim, the stranger brandished a gun and shot him in the lower body. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. North District Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
Attempted carjacking – Glen Burnie
On March 11, 2022, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded to 6619 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for an attempted carjacking. The victim, an adult woman, was sitting in her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown male who told her to get out of her car. The victim screamed and the suspect threatened to shoot him. The man fled as other vehicles approached. The victim did not see a handgun during the incident and did not report any injuries. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Suspect: Black male, 5’10” – 6’0″, burly, wearing a black jacket and black jeans
Possession with intent to distribute – Glen Burnie
On March 12, 2022, at approximately 1 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ritchie Highway and West Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie. The investigation revealed that the occupants had the following items: 12 capsules of a suspected heroin/fentanyl mixture, 54 pills of suspected Xanax/Alprazolam, 12 pills of suspected Adderall, 92.25 grams of suspected marijuana and 1 Suboxone strip. Vehicle occupants were charged accordingly.
