Connected on the zoom and we are just waiting for the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa. Updates here as soon as it takes place …
The Leeds boss took his seat facing the media. Let’s see what he has to say …
Let’s start with the team’s news …
“As usually happens this season, players get injured in the same position.
“So with the injury to Bamford and Rodrigo, we had the injury to Tyler Roberts and Gelhardt, who injured their ankles in training yesterday.
“He will be absent for three weeks. Roberts a similar amount of time.
“Rodrigo’s return, we don’t have a specific date. Bamford should be able to play the game on Sunday.
“Phillips and Cooper are out until March. Shackleton and Cresswell after the international break.
“Rodrigo and Pascal, we can’t predict when they will be available.
“Tyler and Gelhardt about a month.”
Is it likely that you will be making your debut?
“Responding to a suggestion at a press conference previously, I cannot give any information that might infer the training.
“Regarding injuries, I get asked a lot, I have no other choice to comment.”
Did you add motivation this weekend?
“We always try to win in every official game we have. There is never a need for additional motivation. Each time the group plays, the desire is always at its maximum.
Thoughts on Mateo Joseph ….
“He’s a young player. He will integrate into the group just below the first team. The process of integration and development in the squad will start at the level of players of his age, as he goes through all these stages and shows the qualities for which he arrived here, competing against players of the same age. Like Greenwood, Gelhardt, Miller and then as he shows his qualities that we know he has, they will help him find a job. Like any young player, he comes here after a very thorough analysis. So we just hope that his integration will be quick and that he overcomes the level.
How difficult will West Ham be?
“We will try to make sure that the characteristics that we have are displayed.
“Long weeks are always an advantage. They make it possible to moderate the work.
“Being able to exercise or work the most is beneficial. ”
Is the FA Cup a realistic goal?
“Every competition is a possibility. We take it that way.
“Every game we focus on with the intention of winning. The development in the competition is very difficult to anticipate.
“I think what matches is that we humbly try to win.”
