He is asking for an adjournment motion in Parliament to discuss the matter in detail

The founder of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) Thol. Thirumavalavan warned on Wednesday that India could soon experience economic difficulties like Sri Lanka if it does not correct its economic policies and demanded a motion to adjourn so that the economic issue can be discussed in detail in parliament.

Mr. Thirumavalavan said: “India is also on the brink of economic collapse like Sri Lanka. It is because of the biased economic policies designed by the Modi government to favor two people in India resulting in high fuel prices and unemployment.

In an official letter to the Secretary General of Lok Sabha, requesting a debate, Mr. Thirumavalavan said: “The economic crisis in Sri Lanka has turned into a political crisis. The huge economic imbalances created by concessions given to one or two super rich people close to the government, rising unemployment due to the destruction of public sector enterprises, soaring prices due to the unfair taxation of petrol and diesel by this government, are pushing India into an economic crisis like that of Sri Lanka. This urgent matter should be discussed by adjourning the business of Parliament.
