PRESS RELEASE: SITUATION REPORT ON THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC (10 – 12 May 2022)

SAMOA, 15th May – The latest Samoa COVID-19 situation report from the Ministry of Health has confirmed 358 new community cases and six (6) patients currently in managed isolation at Moto’otua Hospital during the period starting at 2:00 p.m. from 10 to 2 May. :00pm on May 12, 2022. However, no deaths have been reported during this time.

Members of the public are urged to continue to heed public health advice such as wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing and washing hands to maintain good personal hygiene and contain the spread of the virus.

The public is again urged, especially those who have not had or completed their vaccination, or a booster dose, to please do so. Vaccination remains our best defense against the virus. Ensuring the safety of our aiga and our loved ones is everyone’s responsibility.
