Rep. Levin’s Press Conference on Potential I-5/SR-78 Funding

OCEANSIDE, CA – Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) and local leaders will hold a press conference at Moreno Street Park and Ride in Oceanside to discuss federal funding available under the Infrastructure Act bipartisan that could go towards improvements to the I-5/SR-78 Exchange.

Upgrading the interchange to improve public safety, air quality and traffic efficiency is a top priority for Rep. Levin and local officials, who will stress the importance of this project and their purpose. common to secure bipartisan infrastructure law funding for well-needed improvements. Rep. Levin will be joined by SANDAG President and Mayor of Encinitas Catherine Blakespear, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond and others.

Levin announced that the bipartisan Infrastructure Act would deliver $30.5 million for the Encinitas-Solana Beach Coastal Storm Damage Reduction Project and $1.8 million for the Special Study of the Oceanside Coastline.
